Hello, I’m Maddie. My pen name of ‘Emily Eleanor’ is for my grandmothers.
My first book, One Last Hundred Chances, brought eight intimate partner abuse survivors’ stories together into one relationship timeline. While each story was unique, they all followed the recognised escalating pattern of coercive control and violence. Each survivor shared their ‘red flags’, what they wanted others to know that they’d originally ignored. The book helps people recognise those patterns, either in themselves, or people they know. The book also provides advice to navigate out the relationship.
I was born and bred in the UK, but have lived in Australia for years. I’m married to the husband, we have a son ‘Mr A’, one cat and after the death of my Dad, Mum moved out to Australia so we could look after her.
